This unique position combines a part-time job with a reduced-rent apartment. In exchange for living on-site and serving as the Resident Manager, you will receive a substantial rent credit. Approximately one-third of the apartment rent is discounted, with the remaining two-thirds earned through your guaranteed Resident Manager hours. Most Resident Managers have little to no out-of-pocket rent expense. Additional hours worked beyond the guaranteed schedule are paid at the hourly rate.
Schedule:
This position includes 10 guaranteed hours per week, averaging approximately 2 hours per day: Approximately 1 hour each morning performing property walks, light grounds cleanup, and administrative duties. Office hours from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM to assist residents, schedule maintenance requests, collect rent payments, answer resident questions, and show available apartments.
Primary Responsibilities:
Show and lease apartments Process rental applications Complete move-in and move-out procedures Collect rent payments Coordinate maintenance requests with vendors and technicians Assist residents with their housing needs Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming apartment community
Qualifications:
Self-motivated, dependable, and organized Friendly and professional with residents and the public Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and basic computer programs Able to work independently Previous property management or customer service experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Housing Requirements:
Selected applicant must reside in the assigned on-site apartment. No pets are permitted. Applicants must qualify for the apartment under our standard rental criteria, including satisfactory credit and landlord references.
