A San Diego based Real Estate Management Company, is actively seeking a motivated, passionate and energetic Community Assistant Manager for a 352 unit apartment home community in Chula Vista, CA. This unique position allows you to apply your industry-acquired knowledge, bring out your forward-thinking skills, and your ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment while displaying your leadership attitude. This role will highly benefit from your entrepreneurial spirit! You will assist in both the day-to-day operations and the fully staffed on-site maintenance personnel. You will receive bonuses in addition to an hourly rate.
Job Requirements:
Complete residential lease administration. Maintain high standards of resident service and relations. Ensure that residents are provided with a clean, safe, well maintained community. Maintain and submit accurate weekly and monthly reports, income accounting, expense control, and administration. Collect rents and accurately account for all monies promptly. Collect delinquent rents and initiate unlawful detainer actions as appropriate. Ensure that maintenance requests are handled as quickly, efficiently, and effectively. Coordinate maintenance and vacant apartment prep-work. Perform move-in and move-out administration with particular attention to consistent unit inspections. Supervise contractors and maintenance personnel working on the property. Represent the community you manage in a professional manner. Maintain a positive businesslike attitude in person and on the telephone and neat, clean professional dress and grooming appropriate for greeting the public. Consistently prepare security deposit dispositions immediately after move-out, time being of the essence. Adhere to Fair Housing Policy, ADA, and California's Injury and Illness Prevention Policy. Desired Skills and Competencies. Must be able to handle a crisis appropriately with respect and tact Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing A complete understanding of Fair Housing Laws Thorough understanding of rent collection procedures Proficient in Yardi Voyager, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Proficient in building online ads to market and Experience 3 to 5+ years of experience in apartment management. Ability to multi-task and prioritize Strong attention to detail
