The Mall Manager is responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of the shopping center. This position oversees tenant relations, leasing activities, financial and business operations, facilities management, maintenance, security, housekeeping, inspections, and safety functions. The Mall Manager works closely with the Corporate Office, tenants, vendors, contractors, and local agencies to ensure the property operates efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards and applicable laws and regulations. Essential Functions Oversee the daily operations of the mall, including housekeeping, security, maintenance, and facilities management. Review and approve housekeeping, security, and maintenance schedules to ensure appropriate staffing and operational coverage. Review and approve mall payroll and manage PTO requests for property-level employees and departments. Ensure the property remains compliant with all applicable permits, licenses, insurance requirements, laws, regulations, and company policies. Report operational concerns, incidents, safety issues, and other significant matters to the Corporate Office in a timely manner. Work collaboratively with the Corporate Office to identify prospective tenants and support lease negotiations and new tenant placements. Communicate operating hours, holiday schedules, property updates, and other important information to tenants, vendors, and visitors. Collaborate with the Tenant Relations Department regarding the collection of outstanding tenant balances and enforcement of applicable lease and contractual requirements. Establish and maintain strong, professional, and mutually beneficial relationships with tenants, contractors, vendors, and other business partners. Develop and maintain positive relationships with local government agencies, law enforcement, and other community partners. Address and resolve tenant complaints, concerns, and requests in a timely manner while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, lease agreements, and company policies. Ensure mall operations and tenant interactions are conducted in accordance with applicable legal and contractual requirements. Maintain a positive image and reputation for the property by working with third-party vendors to support the mall's website, social media, marketing, advertising, and promotional activities, as applicable. Ensure the property, tenants, vendors, and contractors maintain required insurance coverage and documentation. Assist other departments and the Corporate Office with property-related initiatives and special projects as needed. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of mall management experience, preferably at the Mall Manager level or above. High school diploma or GED required. Proficiency with standard computer applications and Microsoft Office. Strong business acumen and working knowledge of commercial property and facilities operations. Strong understanding of mall management, operations, policies, and procedures. Knowledge of mall marketing, advertising, and promotional activities. Experience with lease administration, contract management, leasing, and negotiations. Strong negotiation, sales, and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong leadership and decision-making abilities. Excellent customer service skills and a professional approach to tenant and visitor relations. Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive company, tenant, employee, and financial information.
