Description We are looking for a Property Manager to lead the day-to-day performance of residential and commercial assets in El Segundo, California. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and can balance tenant satisfaction, financial oversight, lease coordination, and property upkeep while protecting asset value. The role requires someone who can stay organized, work proactively, and support compliant, efficient property operations across multiple priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Direct daily property activities for residential and commercial sites, including operational coordination, upkeep planning, and administrative oversight.
- Build and manage annual budgets, monitor expenses, review financial variances, and take corrective steps to keep property spending aligned with targets.
- Oversee rent collection, payment processing, and routine financial tracking to support accurate reporting and stable cash flow.
- Address tenant concerns promptly, enforce occupancy standards, inspect vacant spaces, and coordinate necessary repairs to maintain property conditions.
- Coordinate leasing activity by preparing agreements, supporting term discussions, and helping move available space through the leasing process.
- Arrange and supervise maintenance vendors and service providers to ensure building systems remain functional, safe, and well maintained.
- Support property security by managing preventive measures, working with external security resources when needed, and responding appropriately to urgent situations.
- Ensure properties operate in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and communicate compliance needs to leadership.
- Prepare periodic financial and operational updates, including forecasting, reconciliations, and month-end support for property performance reviews. Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience in property management, real estate operations, or a closely related role.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliation, month-end close activities, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with lease administration, rent collection processes, vendor coordination, and maintenance oversight.
- Understanding of property tax considerations, asset management practices, and regulatory compliance within real estate environments.
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and customer service skills with close attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with property management software is an advantage.
