Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Property Manager and Bookkeeper, where you will play a vital role in overseeing property operations while managing financial records with precision and care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on property management with accurate bookkeeping, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent tenant relations. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day property operations, including leasing, tenant communications, and maintenance coordination Oversee lease or rental agreement management, ensuring all documentation complies with legal standards and landlord-tenant laws Utilize property management software, AppFolio, to track rent payments, vacancies, and maintenance requests Handle client communication with professionalism via phone, email, and in person to address inquiries promptly and effectively Maintain accurate financial records through data entry, filing, budgeting, and reconciliation using accounting software Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other relevant legal requirements Coordinate property maintenance activities and facilities management to uphold safety standards and tenant satisfaction Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to secure quality services at competitive rates Conduct conflict management strategies to resolve tenant disputes amicably while maintaining positive relationships Support property marketing efforts through upselling available units or amenities to prospective tenants Experience Proven experience in property management Experience with AppFolio Strong legal administrative experience related to landlord-tenant law, lease agreements, contracts, and Fair Housing regulations Demonstrated ability in bookkeeping tasks such as budgeting, data entry, filing, and financial reconciliation using Microsoft Office or comparable tools Experience managing Section 8 housing programs or LIHTC properties is highly desirable Excellent customer service skills coupled with effective negotiation abilities for lease agreements and vendor contracts Office experience that includes phone etiquette, conflict resolution, client communication, and administrative support functions Knowledge of facilities management practices including property maintenance scheduling Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a team environment Join us in creating vibrant communities by managing properties with enthusiasm and professionalism!
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
