An Assistant Property Manager assists and provides support to the manager of a property or complex. May oversee the maintenance of the buildings. May also provide information about the community to prospective residents, and troubleshoot issues with the buildings and community residents.
Comprehensive benefits package Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, organized, and highly motivated Property Administrator to join our property management team in Inglewood. This is a hands-on position supporting the day-to-day operation of a large residential community and serving as an important point of contact for current residents, prospective residents, vendors, and other visitors. The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, communicates well, enjoys helping people, and follows through without needing constant direction. Key Responsibilities Resident & Prospect Services Serve as a primary front-desk contact for residents, prospective residents, vendors, and visitors. Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries from prospective residents. Provide rental information and application materials and assist prospects through the initial leasing process. Assist with property tours and leasing activities, particularly on Saturdays and as business needs require. Respond to resident questions and concerns professionally and help ensure issues are directed to the appropriate team member and followed through to resolution. Help organize resident and community events to improve engagement and the overall resident experience. Receive and organize resident mail and packages. Property Administration Process resident move-outs, security deposit refunds, and lease cancellations in accordance with company policies. Process check deposits through RealPage. Maintain accurate records of available units, vacant units, and make-ready status. Generate reports and maintain property information using RealPage. Perform data entry, filing, scanning, recordkeeping, and document management. Track parking passes and related resident compliance matters. Maintain lists of outstanding items and actively follow up with team members and vendors to help ensure matters are completed. Assist with ordering office and property supplies. Support the Property Manager with additional projects and administrative responsibilities as needed. Property Operations Prepare, track, and close maintenance requests and help ensure work orders are addressed timely. Coordinate weekly pest-control services and related resident communication. Walk the property daily and complete property inspection checklists. Identify maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and resident-related issues during property walks and coordinate with the appropriate team members to address them. Assist with monitoring vacant units and unit make-ready progress. Work collaboratively with maintenance, leasing, security, vendors, and other members of the property management team. Previous experience in property management, real estate, leasing, customer service, hospitality, or office administration is preferred but not required. Experience with RealPage is helpful but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC compliance, Fair Housing requirements, or affordable housing is helpful but not required. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are strongly preferred. Physical Requirements This is an active, on-site position and is not limited to desk work. The Property Administrator must be able to: Regularly walk throughout the property, including residential and common areas. Navigate stairs and multiple floors as needed. Inspect units and common areas. Receive, organize, and move resident packages and property supplies. Occasionally lift and carry packages or other items weighing up to approximately 25 pounds. Schedule The preferred schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (open to discussing alternatives). The schedule may occasionally change based on operational or business needs.
