Job Description

Description:
PWP seeks a Facilities Technician with experience in estate and/or commercial maintenance to join the team full-time at the Private Estate, PWP, LLC in San Anselmo, CA. This role is responsible for navigating all ongoing, routine and emergency maintenance, and managing lines of communication and execution. The ideal candidate is a natural at prioritizing, they can think on their feet and can easily juggle multiple events/tasks (planned and unplanned) within a short time frame, when necessary. Top priorities in this position are a positive service-minded attitude, HVAC, general plumbing, and electrical experience. Operates, and performs minor repairs on, HVAC, electrical, lighting, and plumbing systems. Performs hands-on maintenance on all estate systems and equipment. Proactively finds and reports facilities issues and needed improvements. Schedules, supervises, and works with subcontractors on estate systems and equipment. Monitors HVAC and water heating systems, adjusts temperatures, recognizes issues, takes corrective action. Operates, cleans, balances chemicals, and makes minor repairs on swimming pools and spa. Compiles quotes from vendors and contractors for material purchase, repair, and service, coordinates both accordingly. Provides onsite and/or remote after-hours support and monitoring as needed. Supports other estate teams. Completes assigned safety and skills training. Willingness to learn and improve upon skill sets.
Requirements:
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry a minimum of 50 lbs. Ability to bend, squat, stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl daily. Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed. Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods. Education /
Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent. Required Skills /
Competencies:
Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record. Working knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety regulations and practices. Ability to perform data entry and work with facilities related software. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proven ability to interact effectively within a department and outside the organization. Preferred Skills /
Competencies:
Spanish fluency. Fluent in Outlook/email communication and calendaring.
Preferred Technical Skills:
Swimming pool operations and maintenance, automatic covers. Universal CFC license. General knowledge of back-up generators and transfer switches. Nest and Ecobee thermostats. Basic remote system monitoring applications - Nest, Ecobee, DicksonOne, iMonnit, iAqualink.
General knowledge of heat pumps:
Mitsubishi City-Multi or similar VRF systems, ducted and ductless mini-split units. On-demand water heaters and circulation systems. Residential furnace/AC systems. Basic low voltage mechanical control systems. Motor gate familiarity Technical skills with for A/V, Crestron, Lutron lighting, or back flow and irrigation systems
