JOB PURPOSE
Support the Property Manager in overseeing daily operations of a 125+ units split between two sites in San Rafael, CA, helping supervise team members and resources to achieve established budgeted financial and operational goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Leadership & Support
  • Support the Property Manager with staff scheduling, delegation of daily tasks, and day-to-day supervision
  • Assist with interviewing and onboarding property employees
  • Step in for the Property Manager in their absence
  • Lead by example, upholding company values of integrity and excellence
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and teamwork Property Performance
  • Help operate the property within financial guidelines
  • Perform daily physical inspections and coordinate with the maintenance team
  • Support efforts to maintain high occupancy and exceptional resident satisfaction
  • Help ensure compliance with OSHA, Fair Housing, and all applicable regulatory requirements
  • Assist in investigating and reporting incidents involving residents, employees, vendors, or others Resident & Community Relations
  • Serve as an on-site point of contact for residents, with working knowledge of local services and amenities
  • Assist new residents' transition into the community
  • Attend community meetings alongside the Property Manager as needed
  • Respond to routine resident requests or concerns, escalating as appropriate
  • Support resident retention efforts Marketing & Leasing
  • Support leasing objectives using proper sales techniques, including first-hand leasing
  • Assist in maintaining a marketing and advertising strategy in compliance with Fair Housing laws
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform approach Administrative & Financial
  • Support required administrative reporting
  • Assist the Property Manager in reporting property performance to senior leadership
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of property management experience
  • Some leadership or people-management experience preferred
  • 1+ years of experience with property management software
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred
  • Working knowledge of Fair Housing laws and compliance requirements
  • Strong communication skills; sound judgment; self-motivated with attention to detail
