(SHM) is a vertically integrated property and asset management company operating since 1993. SHM's real estate portfolio encompasses approximately 4.7 million square feet across 42 properties and 83 buildings, all located in Southern California. Our assets are primarily in Orange County, the Los Angeles County Southeast Region, Long Beach, South Bay, the LAX vicinity, San Gabriel Valley, San Diego, and the Inland Empire. As a trusted name in property management, SHM strives to maintain high standards and ensure optimal property performance. Job Duties We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support our property management team. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing daily operations, maintaining tenant relations, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in real estate administration, property leasing, and customer service to contribute to a dynamic property management environment. The Assistant Property Manager will play a key role in supporting property maintenance, lease administration, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Hours:
8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday Answer phones Investigate and help to resolve tenant complaints Placing and tracking completion of work orders Enforce property/company rules and regulations Create 3-day notices, invoices and tenant notices Rent collections Prepare leases and amendments Deposit checks / accounts receivables and maintain deposit log Process invoices / accounts payables Clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, filing, etc... Maintain marketing postings and assist in creating marketing material Maintain tenant contact information Analyze contracts and proposals, meeting with vendors as needed Assist in other projects and day-to-day activities for the property manager Travel to properties within Orange County (as needed)
Qualifications:
Prior experience in property management is a plus Must be punctual Great social skills, ability to build rapport with tenants Ability to multitask and prioritize Strong written and verbal communication skills Technical skills are essential, including proficiency ins MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), and AppFolio software Attention to detail and time management Ability to work independently Valid California driver's license and insurance are required Job Details and benefits - This is a Full-Time position that includes benefits such as, Medical, Dental and Vision Plans, paid time off (Vacation and sick), free weekends, and off on all major holidays. •Please e-mail your resume to
