Job Description

Job Overview The Zone Residential Supervisor serves as the frontline operational leader for one or more Highland Behavioral Health residential facilities within an assigned geographic zone. Reporting to the Zone Administrator, the Residential Supervisor provides daily leadership, coaching, operational oversight, and direct support to Residential Caregivers while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered residential services. Provide care and supervision to residents as required by Title 22, Community Care Licensing Division. Assist residents with activities of daily living. May prepare meals and provide housekeeping for residents as needed. Implement and assist residents to comply with their individual Appraisal/Needs and Services Plans. Oversee medication room operations, systems, and supplies, and enforce adherence to HBH medication policies, procedures and protocols. Support staff scheduling, training, and shift-level supervision of Residential Caregivers. Duties Leadership & Staff Oversight Serve as senior caregiver on shift; provide direction, support, and on-the-spot guidance to Residential Caregivers. Assist Administrator with developing, updating, and communicating staff schedules. Support onboarding and training of new caregiver staff, including orientation to facility policies and medication procedures. Model professional, person-centered care practices and reinforce agency values and standards. Communicate staffing concerns, resident status changes, and operational issues to the Administrator in a timely manner. May be required to serve on company committees as designated. Resident Care In a culturally competent manner, will provide services to all residents without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, age, sex, religion, handicap or payment status. Assist residents with daily living activities including cooking, cleaning, showering, hygiene and grooming, and other personal care assistance. Provide necessary resident care and supervision as prescribed by doctors, other health care providers, and as developed by the resident's treatment team. Safely assist residents with self-administration of prescription and non-prescription medications in accordance with physicians' orders and Title 22. Assist with planning and implementing individuals' treatment plans in conjunction with other staff, family and providers. Monitor and report changes in residents' physical and mental health status to the residents' primary care providers and facility staff. Assist in identifying and accessing medical, educational, social, prevocational, rehabilitative or other community services for residents. Monitor and report residents' progress and outcome data. Track and schedule residents' annual dental and physician's exams including TB tests. Transport residents to appointments, outings, etc. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Cooking Abide by the principles of good nutrition, food preparation, storage, menu planning, cooking, clean-up, food safety and follow Title 22 and food service principles. Conduct menu planning with residents, adhering to special diets as physician prescribed. Cleaning Be knowledgeable on housekeeping and sanitation principles. Perform housekeeping duties. Maintain living areas, including resident rooms and community areas. Activities (As Designated) Help organize and conduct planned activities. Give capable residents the opportunity to participate in the planning, preparation, conduct, clean-up and critique of the activities. Adhere to monthly schedule of planned activities. Medication Management Oversee medication room operations, systems, and supplies on assigned shifts. Enforce adherence to HBH medication policies, procedures, and protocols. Conduct and document medication audits; apply critical thinking to identify and resolve discrepancies. Ensure all caregivers on shift are following safe medication-assistance practices in accordance with Title 22. Reporting and Documentation Mandated to report any suspected abuse of dependent adults and elders directly to Law Enforcement, Adult Protective Services, Ombudsman, or Community Care Licensing. Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of protected health information in compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable state and federal laws. Shift Coverage Do ensure continuity of care and coverage this position is expected to cover PTO request and unplanned call out. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, skill, or ability required to perform the job. Education and/or Experience High School diploma or GED; minimum one-year mental health or behavioral health experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior lead, senior, or supervisory experience in a residential care setting preferred. Knowledge Knowledge of requirements for providing care and supervision of residents. Knowledge and conformity to all applicable HIPAA, OSHA, state and local laws, rules and regulations including Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing, Title 22. Knowledge of community services and resources and how to access them. Language Skill s Read, speak, write and understand English well enough to follow and share the regulations, requirements and communications for providing care to residents. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, residents, customers, vendors and the general public with awareness of multi-cultural considerations. Able to answer telephone professionally, understandably, and with proper etiquette. Mathematical Skills Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and percentages associated with completing the requirements of the position, including medication-related.
Pay:
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour
