May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Property Manager to support a contract assignment. This role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and can oversee daily property operations while maintaining strong compliance standards in regulated housing environments. The position requires hands-on knowledge of tax credit programs and HUD guidelines, along with the ability to balance resident relations, property performance, and administrative accuracy. This is a Contract position.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct day-to-day operations for the assigned property, ensuring the community is well maintained, responsive to resident needs, and operating efficiently.
  • Administer leasing, occupancy, and resident file activities in alignment with tax credit requirements and HUD regulations.
  • Monitor rent collections, delinquencies, and property-level financial activity while helping maintain accurate records and reporting.
  • Coordinate maintenance and vendor services to support safe, clean, and functional residential or mixed-use spaces.
  • Conduct property inspections and address operational issues promptly to preserve compliance and overall asset condition.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, resolving concerns effectively and promoting a positive living environment.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to certifications, recertifications, audits, and other compliance-related reviews.
  • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to support property goals, occupancy targets, and regulatory standards. Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in property management.
  • Demonstrated background managing properties subject to tax credit program requirements.
  • Working knowledge of HUD regulations and compliance documentation.
  • Experience supporting residential property operations; exposure to commercial property environments is also valuable.
  • Ability to manage tenant or resident communications, leasing activity, and operational priorities effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping, reporting, and compliance processes.
  • Proficiency in coordinating multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced property management setting.
