The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Property Manager to lead an affordable multifamily community. You will own the property's financial performance, compliance, resident experience, and team leadership, with a focus on getting affordable housing programs right. What You'll Do Oversee daily operations, including leasing, resident relations, maintenance coordination, and vendor management Ensure full compliance with LIHTC, HUD, Section 8/HCV, TDHCA, and other applicable program requirements Manage the income certification process (move-ins, annual and interim recertifications) with accurate, audit-ready files Prepare for and respond to agency file audits, management reviews, and NSPIRE/physical inspections Build and manage the annual budget, control expenses, and drive occupancy and collections Maintain waitlists, rent limits, and income limits in line with program guidelines and Fair Housing law Hire, train, coach, and lead on-site office and maintenance staff Maintain strong resident relationships and handle escalated concerns professionally Produce accurate, timely reports for ownership and regional leadership What You Bring 3+ years of multifamily property management experience, with at least 2 years in affordable housing Working knowledge of LIHTC (Section 42), HUD programs, and income certification Proven record of passing compliance audits and inspections Experience with property management software (Yardi, RealPage, OneSite, or similar) Strong financial skills, including budgeting, variance reporting, and delinquency management A leader who holds the team accountable while supporting their growth Excellent communication and organizational skills High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred Preferred Certifications COS, HCCP, TCS, CPO, or similar affordable housing compliance credential CAM or CAPS Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus What We Offer Competitive pay plus performance bonuses Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off and holidays Training and certification support, with room to grow We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
