Job Description

Job Posting:
Assistant Property Manager Progressive Property Group — Colorado Springs, CO About Us For more than a decade, Progressive Property Group has managed and sold residential and commercial property across the Front Range. We're a medium sized team established in Colorado Springs that has built something worth protecting: owners who stay with us for years, and a group of people who genuinely look out for one another and for the properties entrusted to our care. The Role We're seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll partner directly with one of our property managers on a dedicated set of accounts, while also leading inspections across our portfolio during training with management.
A quick note:
this is not a desk job. You'll spend meaningful time in the field covering properties from Colorado Springs down through Pueblo, walking units, catching small issues before they become expensive ones, and building real familiarity with the homes and the people in them. If you thrive on being out in the field and take pride in closing a loop rather than passing it along, you'll fit right in! What Your Days Look Like Inspections — Move-in, move-out, periodic, and walk-throughs on prospective properties. You'll document your findings with photos in AppFolio, and your assessment carries real weight in our decisions about taking on new properties. Account Partnership — Working alongside the Director on your assigned accounts, including owner and resident communication, coordinating work orders, and managing renewals together. Documentation & Compliance — Keeping records clean and current within Colorado's deadlines. We take compliance seriously, and you'll always know exactly what's due and when. Who You Are Four or more years of property management experience within a property management company — that firm-side experience is the foundation of this role. We'll consider three years for the right candidate. At least two years working daily in AppFolio or Yardi, and thoroughly comfortable operating within it. A valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and a driving record that qualifies for coverage under our company insurance. Mileage is reimbursed. A record of staying ideally a few years in a recent role. We're hiring someone we hope will become a long-term part of our team, and we'd rather invest deeply in one person than continually restart. A Clear Path to Property Manager — No License Required to Start This role is intentionally unlicensed. You'll work under our brokers while learning our portfolio, and there's no expectation that you pursue a license on your own before advancing. We build our next property managers from within, and we've documented exactly what advancement requires: twelve to eighteen months of carrying accounts cleanly, genuine ownership of owner relationships, and running AppFolio independently. You'll receive clear feedback on your progress at every review. Licensing becomes part of your journey when you're ready for the seat — not before. What We Offer A schedule that respects your life. Monday through Friday, no required weekends, and early close every friday, off at 1:00pm. Direct access to leadership. You'll work alongside the Director of Operations, not buried three layers down. When something isn't working, you can say so — and it gets discussed. Support while you learn. Full training on our systems and standards A smaller team where your work is visible and matters. Nothing you do here disappears into a queue. Compensation & Benefits 401(k) with company matching up to 3%. Short Fridays — early close: 1:00pm. Paid birthday off. Paid major holidays. Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. Bonus opportunities for new doors Bonus on sales commission How to Apply Apply through this posting, or send your resume to sara@progressivepropertygroup.com . In your note, we'd love to hear which property management software you've used and what your territory looked like — and if you've ever worked somewhere your good efforts seemed to vanish into the void, tell us about that too. We'd love to talk. Please note, a manager position outside of real estate is not encouraged for this position. Applications accepted through October 3, 2026. Progressive Property Group is an equal opportunity employer.
