JOB SUMMARY
The Property Management Assistant / Runner is a field-facing, multi-function role that supports the day-to-day operational needs of Neighbor to Neighbor's scattered-site property portfolio. This position serves as the on-the-ground extension of the property management team — completing tenant paperwork, coordinating communications, conducting property showings and inspections, posting required notices, and providing general administrative support. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently across multiple properties.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Tenant & Application Relations Complete in-person paperwork with tenants and applicants, including Move-In (MI), Annual Recertification (AR), and Interim Recertification (IR) documentation Collect third-party verifications and ensure all required documentation is gathered accurately and on time Coordinate and conduct tenant meetings as directed by the property manager Conduct in-person property tours with prospective tenants across the scattered-site portfolio Arrive at each property at least 15 minutes before any scheduled showing to ensure the unit shows well and is properly prepared Provide prospective tenants with information about available units, pricing, and the application process Share feedback from tours with the property management team and help overcome objections from prospective renters Represent Neighbor to Neighbor in a professional, welcoming, and courteous manner in all tenant and applicant interactions Property Operations & Inspections Conduct property inspections as assigned and document findings accurately Complete regular property walks to assess condition, identify issues, and report concerns to the property manager Ensure units are show-ready prior to showings and communicate any maintenance or condition issues to the team Post demands, community notices, notices of non-compliance, and maintenance notices as directed by the property manager Distribute resident communications in compliance with applicable timelines and posting requirements Administrative Support Perform filing, document scanning, and records management to maintain organized and accurate tenant files Handle outgoing and incoming mail and correspondence as directed Assist the Community Development Coordinator with administrative tasks and special projects as needed Use mobile apps and basic technology tools to complete and track assigned tasks Coordinate scheduled showings and field tasks within your stated weekly availability Qualifications Required Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation — travel across the portfolio is required Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, service-oriented demeanor Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and properties simultaneously Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited direct supervision Comfort using mobile applications and basic technology tools for task management and communication Ability to consistently adhere to submitted weekly availability and show up on time for all scheduled commitments Preferred Previous experience in leasing, property management, housing programs, or customer service Familiarity with affordable housing paperwork including LIHTC and HUD programs Experience collecting third-party verifications or working with income-qualified housing programs Work Environment & Physical Requirements Field-based position requiring regular travel between properties across the portfolio Must be able to walk properties, climb stairs, and assess unit conditions in varying environments Work is performed both indoors and outdoors depending on the taskJOB TYPE
The Property Management Assistant position is full-time, 40 hours per week. The position will require sitting at a computer, meeting with clients, and reliable transportation. Position is eligible for benefits, including paid time off (PTO), health/dental/vision/life insurance, bilingual pay, and a 401k match.Pay:
