In early 2021, Feldman Ruel Property Management began expanding its footprint to include a growing portfolio of residential and multifamily communities. As part of Feldman Ruel Property Management's expanding portfolio of residential communities, we are seeking an energized and experienced Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of this residential building. The Assistant Property Manager will play a key role in delivering exceptional resident experience on the property, which is in the vibrant NoMa neighborhood of Washington, DC. The core responsibilities include supporting resident relations, coordinating maintenance and vendor services, assisting with leasing activities, and ensuring smooth daily property operations. Working closely with the Property Manager, this role is essential in maintaining a high standard of service and community living for the residents.
Responsibilities/ Requirements:
Assist in the day-to-day operations of mixed-use properties Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with tenants, residents, and ownership Support lease administration, including responding to inquiries, coordinating tours, and assisting with lease negotiations Coordinate and follow up on maintenance requests and vendor services Conduct regular site visits and property inspections Assist with tenant retention initiatives and overall resident experience Be available for occasional overtime and after-hours emergency situations as needed Education Requirements /
Skills:
Minimum 1-3 years of residential property management experience preferred Familiarity with property management software (Yardi preferred) High School Diploma or equivalent is required Strong communication skills with the ability to work with diverse individuals Service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Motivated to contribute to company growth and continuous improvement
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer Ability to stand, walk properties, and conduct inspections Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
Other Requirements:
Must have a valid driver's license in good standing, along with bodily injury insurance coverage of at least $100,000, is required for this position. Must be able to pass a drug test and complete a satisfactory background check.
