Assistant Community Home Manager - Youth Residential Program TSI Cares Network | Jacksonville, Gainesville & Quincy, FL Full-Time | $41,000-$52,000 annually, DOE and education Are you experienced in residential care, behavioral health, child welfare, or direct-care services and ready to take on greater leadership responsibility? TSI Cares Network is seeking an Assistant Community Home Manager to support the day-to-day operation of a licensed residential group home serving children and adolescents under the age of 18. This role serves as a secondary leader within the home , supporting the Community Home Manager with staff guidance, resident care, documentation, compliance, transportation, household operations, and overall program consistency. The Assistant Community Home Manager may also provide operational oversight when the Community Home Manager is unavailable or as assigned. Schedule This is a full-time, on-site residential position averaging approximately 40 hours per week . The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Flexibility is required based on resident, staffing, and program needs. Evening, weekend, and on-call support may also be required when assigned. What You'll Do You will work closely with the Community Home Manager and residential team to help keep the home safe, structured, compliant, and operating consistently.
Responsibilities include:
Support daily residential home operations Provide day-to-day guidance and support to Residential Coaches Assist with staff schedules, assignments, expectations, and program priorities Help identify staffing, communication, performance, or coverage concerns Participate in staff meetings, shift debriefings, onboarding, and coaching as assigned Provide leadership coverage in the Community Home Manager's absence when assigned Support residents with routines, activities, individualized needs, and program expectations Assist with admissions, transitions, discharges, appointments, transportation, and community activities Participate in treatment-team meetings, case reviews, and other resident-focused meetings as requested Assist during behavioral crises and urgent resident situations within training and assigned authority Complete and monitor required documentation, shift records, incident reports, and other assigned records Support compliance with Florida licensing requirements, TSI policies, and residential program standards Assist with preparation for licensing visits, audits, monitoring visits, and quality-assurance reviews Support medication-administration procedures and related documentation as authorized Assist with household supplies, inventory, petty cash, receipts, transportation, food service, housekeeping, and routine home operations Promptly communicate safety, resident, staffing, documentation, compliance, and operational concerns through the appropriate chain of command Required Qualifications Candidates must have: High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience in residential care, child welfare, behavioral health, direct care, or a similar setting Valid Florida driver's license Strong communication, organization, documentation, time-management, and follow-through skills Ability to maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and appropriate chain-of-command expectations Ability to respond appropriately during behavioral crises and changing residential needs Ability to work in a residential environment where youth may demonstrate challenging, escalated, unpredictable, or high-risk behaviors Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation Prior lead, supervisory, or team-lead experience is preferred. Preferred Qualifications Additional consideration may be given to candidates with: Associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Criminal Justice, or a related field Experience working in a licensed residential group home Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behavior management CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certifications, or ability to obtain required certifications Experience supporting or leading direct-care staff Background & Driving Requirements — Please Read Before Applying Employment is contingent upon successfully meeting all required pre-employment screening and eligibility requirements.
