Job Description

Job Summary The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in the day-to-day operations of a multifamily apartment community, helping to ensure operational excellence, financial performance, and an exceptional resident experience. This role is responsible for assisting with leasing, resident relations, rent collection, financial administration, occupancy goals, and team support. The Assistant Community Manager also helps maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations while contributing to the overall success and performance of the community. Key Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service to current and prospective residents, creating a welcoming and professional experience. Respond to resident questions, concerns, and service-related issues promptly and professionally, working toward timely resolution. Assist with all leasing activities, including responding to inquiries, conducting tours, processing applications, and following up with prospective residents. Collect rent payments and other resident charges while maintaining accurate financial records. Monitor delinquent accounts, coordinate collection efforts, and communicate with residents regarding outstanding balances. Complete move-out inspections and prepare security deposit accounting in accordance with company policies and state regulations. Maintain accurate resident files, lease documentation, and compliance records. Coordinate move-in schedules, ensuring apartments are ready for occupancy and move-in appointments are completed efficiently. Assist with market surveys and competitive analysis to support leasing and pricing strategies. Help maintain community appearance and ensure the leasing office is prepared for daily operations. Build and maintain positive working relationships with residents, vendors, contractors, and team members. Support the Community Manager with administrative responsibilities, reporting, budgeting, and operational tasks. Provide leadership and guidance to onsite team members when the Community Manager is unavailable. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of two years of multifamily property management experience, preferably in an Assistant Community Manager or similar role. Strong knowledge of leasing, resident relations, rent collections, and property operations. Experience with property management software; Entrata experience is preferred. Working knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant laws, the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and OSHA requirements. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office and standard business software. Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation is preferred but not required. Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening, where applicable. Core Requirements Customer-focused with a commitment to providing excellent resident service. Physical Requirements Ability to walk the community, including stairs and outdoor areas, as needed. Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 15 pounds. Ability to perform duties both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions as required.

$25.00 per hour
