Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Residential Manager II is a senior-level leadership role responsible for the oversight of one or more residential programs or a larger, more complex residential facility. This position ensures the effective delivery of person-centered care, compliance with regulatory standards, and alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations for one or more residential programs, ensuring consistent adherence to agency policies, safety protocols, and licensing/regulatory requirements. Monitor program performance, staffing, and service delivery to ensure quality outcomes and consumer satisfaction. Supervise and mentor Residential Supervisors and/or direct care staff; provide coaching, support, and performance evaluations. Ensure timely and accurate completion of all program documentation, including incident reports, progress notes, medication logs, audits, and regulatory submissions. Monitor compliance with state licensing, Medicaid waiver standards, agency policies, and safety regulations. Facilitate communication between residents, families, and staff to address concerns and enhance resident satisfaction. Implement and oversee programs and activities that promote resident engagement and well-being. Lead internal audits, prepare for licensing inspections, and implement corrective action plans as needed. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident care and facility operations. Leadership Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED required Associate or bachelor's degree in human services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field strongly preferred Relevant certifications (e.g., CNA, CPR/First Aid, CPI) preferred
Required Experience:
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in residential, behavioral health, or developmental disability services Minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory or program management role Experience managing staff teams, supporting individuals with complex behavioral or medical needs, and maintaining regulatory compliance is required Experience overseeing multiple sites or programs preferred
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents, families, and staff. Ability to assess and respond to the needs of residents with empathy and professionalism. Proficient in crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in a residential care setting. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
