A Property Manager manages operations for an apartment building or complex. Recruits and screens tenants for apartments, collects rents and security deposits, responds to requests or complaints from tenants, supervises maintenance and repairs; oversees payment of bills, insurance, taxes and recordkeeping. Manages property and services on behalf of a community association, for properties such as condominiums or cooperatives. Collects fees or dues, responds to requests or complaints, supervises maintenance, oversees work done by contractors, and provides accounting of income and expenses. May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Property Manager-Lease up to lead the leasing efforts for new property openings and ensure seamless lease-up processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage leasing operations, foster positive client relationships, and drive occupancy growth in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, highly organized, and passionate about delivering outstanding customer service while navigating complex property management tools and legal frameworks. Responsibilities Oversee all lease-up activities for new or existing properties, including marketing strategies and tenant outreach efforts Manage lease or rental agreement processes ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and local landlord-tenant laws Utilize property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS to track leasing progress, data entry, and reporting Coordinate with property maintenance teams to ensure units are move-in ready and meet quality standards Conduct client communication via phone and email to answer inquiries, upsell available units, and foster strong tenant relationships Negotiate lease terms with prospective tenants while adhering to legal requirements and company policies Maintain accurate filing of contracts, legal documents, and leasing records in accordance with regulatory standards Qualifications Proven experience in property management or leasing within a property management company environment Strong knowledge of Yardi, Appfolio, Microsoft Office Suite, and other property management tools Familiarity with landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8 programs, and office administrative procedures Excellent conflict management skills coupled with effective negotiation abilities Demonstrated ability to manage teams and coordinate multiple leasing projects simultaneously Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and client relationship management experience Prior experience in real estate administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, budgeting, facilities management, and contract administration Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to creating welcoming communities through innovative property management solutions!
