THE ROLE
Small business life means wearing many hats! We are seeking a versatile, community-focused Store Manager to act as the operational anchor of our shop. As a true "jack of all trades," you will lead daily floor operations, manage inventory, write employee schedules, keep our social media active, and host engaging tabletop events.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Floor Leadership & Customer Service:
Lead opening/closing shifts, maintain store cleanliness, enforce food safety at the dirty soda and popcorn fountain, and deliver top-tier customer service.
Inventory & Stock Management:
Perform weekly stock audits for soda syrups, cups, popcorn supplies, and retail tabletop/TCG products; manage reorder lists and receive stock.
Staff Scheduling & Team Coordination:
Write weekly staff schedules within labor targets, handle shift coverage, and ensure staff adhere to shift buffers and cleaning routines.
Social Media & Community Engagement:
Create simple, weekly social posts/stories showcasing upcoming events (Magic, Mahjong, D&D, Bunco), new soda drink features, and new game arrivals.
Event Execution & Table Turnover:
Manage tournament check-ins, enforce 2-hour game pass rotation, and foster an inclusive environment for players and families.
QUALIFICATIONS
1+ years of supervisory/management experience in retail, specialty cafe, coffee/boba shop, or entertainment venue. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a small business environment. Familiarity with (or passion for) tabletop board games, TCGs, or gaming culture. Comfortable using POS systems (Square), basic inventory spreadsheets, and social media platforms (Instagram/Facebook). Available to work key peak shifts (Saturdays mandatory, plus key event nights).
