May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our dynamic property management team. In this vital role, you will support the day-to-day operations of residential or commercial properties, ensuring exceptional tenant relations, efficient administrative processes, and compliance with all relevant regulations. Your energetic approach will help foster a positive community atmosphere while maintaining operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in property management, leasing, and customer service within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist in managing property leasing activities, including showing units to prospective tenants Support lease administrators by preparing renewals, and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines Coordinate property maintenance requests and facilities management tasks using AppFolio to ensure timely resolution and tenant satisfaction Maintain accurate data entry, filing, and record keeping for legal documents, tenant files, and property records in accordance with legal administrative standards Handle customer service inquiries via phone, text, AppFolio, and in person with professionalism and courtesy, fostering positive relationships with tenants and vendors Support conflict management efforts by mediating tenant concerns Assist with rent collection processes, including processing payments through Property Management Software (AppFolio), tracking delinquent accounts, and supporting eviction procedures if necessary Coordinating with tenants and maintenance team to schedule work orders Coordinating with tenants and vendors to schedule work orders Assist in communication with HOAs in managed communities Requirements 3+ Years of experience in property management Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8 housing programs, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law Proficiency with property management systems such as AppFolio or Yardi Strong customer service skills combined with excellent phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities Knowledge of legal contracts, negotiation techniques, and lease agreements to support leasing activities effectively Office experience involving data entry, filing, and general administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Valid administrative experience in property management Bilingual is a plus, but not a requirement Ability to work on weekends, and holidays as needed Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding property management services! $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
