The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial to our success, acting as a key liaison between residents, vendors, clients and the Property Manager. The ideal candidate has a strong background in property management, an understanding of real estate operations, and solid accounting skills. Key Responsibilities:
Tenant Relations:
Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, professionally addressing inquiries, maintenance requests, and concerns to ensure high levels of tenant satisfaction and retention.
Leasing Support:
Assist with all aspects of the leasing cycle, including marketing available units, conducting property tours, screening applicants, and preparing lease agreements and move-in packages.
Financial & Accounting:
Manage accounts receivable, including posting rent payments, tracking delinquencies, and coordinating collections. Process and code accounts payable invoices for approval and payment. Assist the Property Manager with monthly financial reports, variance analysis, and annual budget preparation.
Property Operations & Maintenance:
Coordinate with maintenance staff and external vendors to ensure work orders are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Conduct regular property inspections, including move-in/move-out assessments and routine site walks, to ensure the property is maintained in excellent condition.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical files for residents, vendors, and property records. Assist in preparing notices, reports, and other official correspondence.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience:
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in property management, real estate administration, or a closely related field is required.
Detail-Oriented:
A proven track record of managing tasks with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
Accounting Acumen:
Solid experience with accounting principles, including accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P).
Tech-Savvy:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential. Experience with property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi, Buildium, RealPage) is highly preferred.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a talent for professional and empathetic customer service.
Problem-Solver:
Ability to think critically, troubleshoot issues, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field is a plus.
License:
A valid Real Estate License is preferred but not required.

Job Type:

$35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
