Job Description

Position Overview The Community Manager serves the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce as the front-line representative and office manager, creating a welcoming, professional experience for Chamber Investors, visitors and the public. This position supports the daily operation of Chamber headquarters by greeting and directing visitors, managing incoming calls and communications, coordinating shared meeting and workspace rentals and helping maintain an organized, secure and professional office environment and building. The Community Manager also maintains the Chamber's schedules and calendars. AS well as the Investor database, recording engagement activity, supporting basic Investor services and referrals, as well as assisting with Chamber programs, events and entrepreneurship resources. Position Responsibilities Office Administration & Support Services Welcome and assist callers and visitors, connecting them with appropriate resources or staff members, notifying staff of visitors' arrival. Process and respond to and direct incoming emails from Chamber Investors and the public, as appropriate. Sort and distribute incoming mail and receive supplies and other deliveries. Prepare correspondence and other administrative materials as assigned. Open and close the Chamber building and support established office security procedures. Maintain an organized, attractive and professional office environment. Order supplies and maintain an appropriate inventory of office materials. Calendar, Scheduling & Facility Coordination Maintain the Chamber's calendars, room reservations, program schedules and other organizational commitments. Manage external bookings and rentals of Chamber meeting co-working and workspace facilities, including communicating and room setup based on reservation needs. Investor & Community Services Respond to prospective Investor inquiries and connect businesses and community members with the appropriate Chamber staff, programs or resources. Make basic Investor engagement and retention touchpoints and record activity in the Chamber's CRM. Record Investor, Ambassador and referral activity in the Chamber's CRM. Maintain accurate Investor profiles and contact information in the Chamber's CRM. Receive Investor RSVPs and assist with program registration and attendee management. Prepare, print and organize program materials such as name badges, information packets, lists, signage and more. Assist with Chamber programs, events, entrepreneurship resources and services. Additional Responsibilities Provide clerical support to the Vice President of Finance for routine finance-related duties, as assigned. Assist the President & CEO with scheduling, correspondences and administrative assistance, as needed. Help foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture by supporting staff recognitions, celebrations, team-building activities and other employee engagement efforts. Maintain a professional relationship with the Board of Directors, Chamber Investors, visitors, community partners and members of the public. Perform other duties as assigned. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or bachelor's degree or previous office administration experience preferred. Skills & Experience Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent customer service skills with a professional, welcoming demeanor. Strong organizational, multitasking and time-management skills. Proficiency with modern office-based technology including Microsoft 365, calendar and scheduling tools, contact databases, copiers, and more. Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality and respond appropriately to a variety of visitors and inquiries. Strong attention to detail and ability to create, input and maintain accurate information. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with limited supervision. Ability to work collaboratively with Chamber staff and provide support across departments, programs and events.
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.5 - 40.0 per week
