About the Role Thrive is a dedicated Supported Employment provider committed to empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their employment goals. We are accepting applications for a Regional Director to oversee operations across the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area (Blackhawk, Grundy, Buchanan, Bremer, Howard and Chickasaw counties). This is a pivotal management and leadership position requiring a passionate, professional, and independent team player.

•This role will involve helping us grow our services in this area, including community/employer outreach activities. It will start at $19/hour and will transition to a salaried position ($43,000-$46,000) upon completion of the probationary period.

•Responsibilities Provide visionary leadership across all regional programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and community needs. Oversee program development initiatives, implementing best practices to enhance service quality and operational effectiveness. Manage relationships with stakeholders, including families, community agencies, funding bodies, and regulatory agencies to promote collaboration and resource sharing. Supervise staff, fostering professional growth through coaching, performance evaluations, and ongoing training. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies related to behavioral health and social services. Lead efforts in continuous quality improvement by analyzing program outcomes and implementing strategic enhancements.

Outreach & Partnerships:

Perform community outreach, including active marketing and communication with local businesses to secure employment opportunities.

Recruitment Events:

Represent Thrive at job fairs, high school transition fairs, and other community events.

Employer Relations:

Maintain strong partnerships with employers, ensuring they are matched with great, supported employees.

Job Readiness:

Conduct job searches and assist consumers with completing applications.

Direct Coaching:

Help those with disabilities/employment barriers learn and perform their job duties.

Skill Building:

Assist consumers in developing essential job skills, resume completion, and interview preparation.

Barrier Resolution:

Identify employment barriers and develop creative solutions to overcome them.

Long-Term Success:

Provide ongoing assistance to Thrive consumers in their roles to ensure they "Thrive" in community employment. Qualifications We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills and a professional, proactive approach.

Education:

A Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience is required. Preference is given to candidates with a background in Human Services, Sociology, Psychology, Education, or a related field.

Professional Skills:

Excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong capacity for teamwork and managing deadlines.

Personal Attributes:

Highly motivated, organized, professional, and passionate about helping others achieve their goals.

Compliance:

Must be able to pass a background check and complete all professional development standards required by the State of Iowa for a Community Rehabilitation Provider setting within the required timelines. Reliable transportation is required. Ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences while maintaining a positive and motivating leadership style.
