Job Description

The CENTER for Human Services, a leading provider of behavioral health care services, is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist (Full-Time) to work in our supported residential program.
Responsibilities:
Provide recovery support services Provide advocacy and mentoring Distribute information and assistance in accessing community resources to clients Develop collaborative working relationships with community agencies, homeless shelters, therapists, physicians, and law enforcement personnel
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Self-identification as a person in recovery from mental illness or substance use who is committed to their own recovery in order to help others through their recovery journey Willingness and ability to engage in self-disclosure to assist in treatment Passion to help others with their recovery Excellent organizational and communication skills Must have reliable transportation and a valid Illinois driver's license
Preferred Qualification:
One year of work or volunteer experience in behavioral health or crisis intervention
Salary Range:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour
