Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Community Manager to join our vibrant property management team. This role is essential in supporting the overall operations of residential communities, ensuring exceptional resident experiences, and maintaining property standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management, customer service, and administrative functions, with a passion for fostering welcoming and well-maintained communities. Duties Assist the Community Manager in overseeing daily property operations, including leasing, maintenance coordination, and resident relations. Support leasing activities by conducting property tours, processing applications, and upselling available units to prospective residents. Manage tenant communications and resolve conflicts efficiently, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law. Maintain accurate records using Yardi or OneSite property management software, including data entry, filing, and lease documentation. Coordinate property maintenance requests and inspections, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to safety standards. Assist with legal administrative tasks related to LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) compliance, Section 8 vouchers, and contracts. Foster positive relationships with residents through excellent customer service and effective phone etiquette. Support administrative functions such as filing, data management, and office organization to streamline community operations. Participate in facilities management activities including basic oversight of property upkeep and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) entries. Contribute to sales efforts by promoting community amenities and upselling lease renewals or additional services. Experience Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a focus on residential communities. Familiarity with LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing vouchers, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with Yardi or OneSite property management software for leasing and resident data management. Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette. Knowledge of legal contracts, negotiation techniques, and conflict management strategies. Office experience involving data entry, filing systems, and administrative support tasks such as handling contracts and legal documents. Experience in facilities or maintenance coordination using CMMS tools is a plus. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
