VP of SalesPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Landscaping Account Manager - Client Relations to join our sales team. This role is responsible for growing existing accounts, developing new business, and building strong, long-term relationships with residential, commercial, and multi-family clients.

The ideal candidate will have proven sales and account management experience within the landscaping industry, with a strong understanding of commercial, multi-family, and HOA landscaping services. This position combines sales, client relationship management, project coordination, and field operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business DevelopmentDevelop and pursue new sales opportunities within an assigned territory.

Generate new business through cold calling, warm outreach, email, and in-person meetings.

Meet and exceed established sales and revenue goals.

Build and expand relationships with commercial, multi-family, HOA, and other property-management clients.

Identify opportunities to upsell and expand services within existing accounts.

Conduct property/site inspections to identify enhancement and service opportunities.

Measure properties, prepare estimates and contracts, present proposals, and manage the sales process from prospecting through closing.

Convert one-time customers into long-term clients through strong service and consistent follow-up.

Client RelationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers throughout the project lifecycle.

Serve as the primary liaison between clients, sales, field operations, and internal teams.

Understand client needs and recommend appropriate landscaping solutions.

Discuss design options and make adjustments based on customer requirements.

Attend client meetings, property walkthroughs, and site reviews.

Maintain clear written documentation of agreements, change orders, decisions, and follow-up items.

Project Coordination & OperationsCollaborate with construction supervisors, designers, foremen, and field teams to ensure projects meet client expectations.

Participate in production meetings and assist with project scheduling.

Review project requirements, site conditions, and special instructions with operations teams.

Create and manage watering maps and irrigation schedules for commercial and multi-family properties.

Monitor snow and ice management needs and communicate service recommendations to clients.

Field Management & Quality AssuranceConduct site inspections before, during, and after project completion.

Monitor project progress and ensure work meets company and customer standards.

Identify and troubleshoot field issues and work with supervisors and foremen to develop solutions.

Perform final quality-control inspections and coordinate any necessary corrections before project closeout.

Required Qualifications3-5 years of sales or account management experience.3-5 years of experience in the landscaping industry, with commercial, multi-family, or HOA sales experience required.

Strong knowledge of landscaping services and customer requirements.

Working knowledge of horticulture and plant identification.

Strong customer service, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.

Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts.

Strong presentation, communication, and closing skills.

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.

Valid driver's license that meets company insurance requirements.

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Strong English communication skills; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong turf management knowledge.

Experience working with commercial property managers, HOAs, and multi-family communities.

Established relationships within the landscaping or property-management industry.

The Account Manager will regularly interact with field teams and visit active job sites and customer properties.

The role may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and active work environments. Occasional evening or after-hours client meetings and walkthroughs may be required.

Standard office hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with seasonal schedule adjustments possible during the winter months.

Physical RequirementsAbility to regularly visit and inspect various property types.

Ability to walk active job sites and outdoor properties.

Ability to bend, kneel, stretch, and move around properties as needed.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
