There's a 8-bedroom home in West Chicago with 8 people living under one roof - each renting their own room and sharing everything else. A house like that runs well when someone who lives there cares that it runs well. That's the job. You're not a landlord who swings by to collect and disappears. You live here. You're the one who notices the hallway light's out and the coffee's low, who catches the small stuff before it becomes the big stuff, who has boundaries but also loves people - genuinely loves them. Some days are quiet. No one is checking in that day, so no rooms to flip. Just one AirBnb message to respond to. Resetting and cleaning the common area for the day takes less than hour. Some days aren't so quiet - a text at 11pm that the heat's out, two housemates circling each other over the kitchen, a lockout in the rain. You're the steady one either way: warm enough that people come to you, solid enough to hold the line when a rule needs holding. A week in the role might look like Spotting a slow leak, a flickering light, or a low supply run before anyone has to ask Turning over a room every other day and resetting and cleaning the common areas each day Being reachable in the evenings and calm when the phone actually buzzes Turning a tense "whose dishes are these" standoff into a non-event Handling the small repairs yourself, calling in a pro for the rest Keeping the owner looped in on anything above your call. You and the other will have a monthly meeting to discuss previous month's numbers and talk about the upcoming month. You'll recognize yourself here if You're the friend people naturally lean on. You'd take a full house over an empty one any day. You're organized with money and details without being reminded twice, hard to rattle when plans go sideways, and kind in a way that still holds weight when you have to say no. On a trip, the you're the friend in the group that has all the confirmation numbers and ordered the Uber yourself. And honestly, it's not for you if you're after privacy, quiet, and a clean wall between work and home. Compensation A private room and housing provided. The room is absolutely massive. It also comes with a nice-sized office (or gym - the world is your oyster with this room). The office is attached to the room. The room is fully furnished including a king bed. The first 90 days, you'll earn $100-200/month. Once the house becomes more full, weekly pay will increase to $250/week. On top of free housing and a weekly paycheck, there's profit-sharing. My goal is to make everyone in the house (both the Property Manager and the guests) feel comfortable, safe, and happy; that being said, my number one priority will always the the Property Manager.

Pay:
