CrisisCenterysb.org The Crisis Center is seeking a Full-Time Shift Supervisor to join our team to support our Residential Programs. Our programs provide trauma-informed treatment and support services to children in need of emergency residential services and long-term residential care. As a Shift Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for youth of the Crisis Center. You will be part of the team of direct care staff, overseeing the staff on your shift.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Demonstrates qualities of a positive role model at all times through appearance, attitude, and behavior. Assist our residents as they carry out daily living activities, recreational activities, developing self-care skills (health/hygiene) and schoolwork and/or homework. Implements structured life skills/interactive group activities and discussions with residents. Create and design youth programming and daily activities in coordination with youth needs and other staff. Effectively implement the decisions of your supervisor/manager within your chain of command. Accomplish objectives and consistently produce satisfactory work. Practice faithful timeliness in reporting to work, staying on the job, and helping during unexpected emergencies. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Screen referrals for admission and make the decision to accept and/or deny based on qualifying criteria. Lead staff in maintaining residential records in compliance with corporate, state, and federal regulations. Ensure that service delivery is performed according to the organization's mission, policies, and procedures. Provide guidance and support to our direct care team members through teaching and coaching, to enhance their ability to perform their job responsibilities. Perform any other duties deemed necessary and within the scope of the job as requested by the Program Director and/or Residential Manager.

SITUATIONAL FACTORS

Work hours, 40 - 45 hours per week

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training Must be 21 years of age or older. BS's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, social services or related degree preferred. Minimum of three years or more of staff supervision/management required. Minimum of two years of experience working with at-risk kids. Residential, Foster Care, or Community-Based Services experience preferred. Knowledge of state and federal regulations for residential services. Possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Insurable on agency vehicles. Must have a clean driving record for 5 years. Pass all necessary Background Checks. Fingerprint based National & State Criminal History Check. Child Protective Services Check. National Sex Offender Registry Check. Local Criminal Court Records Check. Computer Literacy TB Test Food Handlers Card Pre-Employment Physical & Drug Test.
