Job Description
The City of Dodge City is accepting applications for the position of Community Service Officer. This position is responsible for responding to non-criminal or misdemeanor property crime complaints, traffic control, parking enforcement, working minor accidents and enforcing laws and ordinances. Employees may be assigned to additional duties such as assisting motorists, video monitoring, assisting on DUIs and animal control violations. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age (desired intent of this position is a steppingstone into sworn DCPD officer), must possess a high school degree or equivalency, valid state driver's license with a good driving record, possess U.S Permanent Residency or U.S Citizenship status, and must not possess any history of felonies or misdemeanors involving deception or domestic violence. Previous experience and bilingual skills preferred but not required.
