Job Description
Community Assistant (Leasing & Resident Services) We're looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable team member to join our apartment community. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with & helping people, stays organized, can handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, communicates professionally, and is willing to learn. The successful candidate is able to adapt to changing priorities while supporting the overall success of the community. A positive attitude and strong customer service skills are essential Primary Responsibilities Leasing & Customer Service Answer phone calls, emails, texts, and online leasing inquiries. Conduct apartment tours and follow up with prospective residents. Assist with applications, lease paperwork, renewals, and move-ins. Maintain accurate leasing records and ensure Fair Housing compliance. Help achieve occupancy and resident retention goals. Resident & Office Support Serve as the first point of contact for residents and visitors. Respond to resident questions and direct maintenance requests. Assist with resident communications, notices, newsletters, and community events. Maintain organized resident files and perform general office duties. Support the Property Manager with daily administrative tasks. Prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines. Administrative & Financial Duties Accept rent payments and process routine office paperwork. Assist with invoices, collections paperwork, and market surveys. Maintain office organization, supplies, and confidential records. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous customer service, office, leasing, or property management experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and computer skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently. Professional appearance, dependable attendance, and reliable transportation. Physical Requirements Ability to walk the property and climb stairs during tours. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed. •This position will include additional leasing, administrative, customer service, and property management duties as needed and assigned.
