Job Description

Job Summary We are an established, locally owned property management company seeking a full-time Assistant Property Manager to support our day-to-day operations. This position involves a variety of administrative, financial, tenant-related, and property-management responsibilities while working closely with our management and maintenance teams. Responsibilities Organize and enter accounts payable Maintain security-deposit accounts and associated records Assist with bookkeeping, account reconciliation, general recordkeeping, preparation of annual financial records, and communication with accountants Monitor and accurately record rent deposits Manage incoming email correspondence and ensure messages are organized and addressed promptly Prepare and distribute tenant notices Process rental applications and maintain applicant documentation Organize documentation for management information requests and audits Maintain property-insurance policies and records, including tracking renewals Communicate with legal counsel when necessary Coordinate with vendors and manage scheduling Request, obtain, and organize vendor quotes Maintain vendor contracts, certificates of insurance, and related documentation Coordinate vacant-unit preparation with the property-management and maintenance teams Work with local real estate brokers to list and market available units Track vacant-unit listings and application activity Qualifications Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Strong written and verbal communication skills Professional and courteous customer-service skills Able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines Comfortable working independently once trained Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Comfortable learning bookkeeping and property-management systems Able to handle financial, tenant, and legal information with discretion Prior administrative, bookkeeping, real estate, or property-management experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate Experience with Yardi Breeze or similar property-management software is a plus
Pay:
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
