About Our Organization High Spirit Community Farm is a Supportive Neighborhood of three family-style homes for adults with IDD and Autism, situated on a 5-acre property near a small, thriving downtown in the Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts. Our program offers flexible day programming rooted both on our little farm and in connection with the larger community. Job Description The House Manager & Program Leader plays a central role in community life by living in one of our three shared homes, serving as that home's leader and collaborating as a community with the other two homes. This position blends caregiving, household management, program compliance, and community leadership. They are responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive home environment, guiding staff and volunteers, and ensuring the well-being of residents. They are responsible for planning and running a number of Day Program groups during the week. It is the responsibility of the live-in House Manager to ensure that care and staff coverage are being well provided at all times. This happens through Direct Support Providers under the House Manager's supervision. This is a shared responsibility among all of the community leaders. Flexibility is an important part of the role, but support is available from the leadership team and the wider community. This position can be filled by an individual or by two people who wish to live together in the designated on-site apartment and share the responsibility of leading the household.
