With locations in Hanover and Braintree, we are committed to empowering every individual through customized learning programs, vocational training, and community engagement. The Assistant Residential House Manager supports the Residential House Manager in the oversight of day-to-day operations within the residential home. This role assists in supervising Residential Life Skills Instructors, ensures the implementation of individualized education plans, and provides direct support to residents. The Assistant Manager helps maintain a safe, structured, and supportive living environment, ensuring regulatory compliance, quality documentation, and effective communication among staff, families, and other departments. _________________________________________________________________________________________PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Participate in and facilitate professional development and skills-based instruction as identified
- Maintain required trainings
- Attend work consistently and punctually, maintaining a professional presence during scheduled hours. Adheres to scheduled work hours. Operational
- Assists in supervising training Residential Life Skills Instructors
- Lead staff in absence of the House Manager, ensuring continuity of care and daily operations
- Provides input for annual performance evaluations
- Ensures implementation and documentation of IEP goals and Daily Living Skills instruction
- Ensures compliance with all agency policies, procedures, and licensing requirements.
- Assists in maintaining accurate documentation (log notes, incident reports, fire drills, menus, etc.).
- Helps coordinate daily activities, schedules, and transportation needs.
- Ensures that the home environment is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Submits maintenance and supply requests as needed
Resident Support:
- Provides direct care and engagement with students, including instruction in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), hygiene, domestic skills, and social/recreational activities.
- Uses Safety Care techniques to support students in crisis and ensure safety. Communication and Collaboration
- Acts as a liaison with families and guardians when the House Manager is unavailable.
- Maintains open and professional communication with interdisciplinary team members.
- Attends team meetings, reviews, and trainings as required.
- Takes on additional duties as assigned by the Residential House Manager or Residential Coordinator.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
(Indicate the minimum requirements for this position) Related Work Experience and Formal Education- High School Diploma or Associate's Degree in Human Services, Education, Social Work, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Services required, experience in Residential Care strongly preferred Skills/Abilities/Competencies
- Knowledge of best practices in residential care
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to serve in a rotating on-call capacity.
