Brandon is seeking a highly qualified, experienced, and dynamic leader to serve as its Senior Director of Residential Services . This individual will provide strategic and operational leadership for all residential programs and will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care, safety, treatment, and programming for the youth and families Brandon serves. The Senior Director will create and sustain residential environments that are safe, respectful, nurturing, engaging, and positive. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, extensive experience working with interdisciplinary teams, strong knowledge of residential operations and regulatory requirements, and a genuine passion for trauma-informed, relationship-based care.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide overall leadership, oversight, quality assurance, and operational management for all residential programs. Ensure the delivery of exceptional residential services and the highest quality of care for youth and families consistent with Brandon's mission, values, policies, and treatment philosophy. Provide direct supervision, leadership, mentoring, and support to Residential Directors, Program Managers, Support Managers, and other residential leadership staff. Conduct regular supervision that promotes reflective practice, accountability, professional growth, and continuous evaluation of program operations. Maintain a strong and visible leadership presence in each residential milieu. Spend consistent and meaningful time in programs teaching, training, coaching, guiding, and supporting staff in their daily implementation of CARE, TCI, and Brandon's treatment and behavior support practices. Ensure the appropriate and consistent implementation of the Brandon Behavior Support Policy, Individualized Crisis and Safety Plans (ICSPs), CARE principles, and TCI techniques throughout all residential programs. Promote a trauma-informed, developmentally focused, relationship-based, and competence-centered approach to residential care. Ensure staff understand the developmental needs of each youth and adjust expectations, interventions, and supports accordingly. Oversee and participate, as appropriate, in investigations and critical incidents. Work collaboratively with Senior leadership, the Department of Children and Families (DCF), the Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC), licensing representatives, investigators, and other regulatory and external partners. Ensure residential programs operate in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, licensing requirements, accreditation standards, and Brandon policies and procedures. Develop and maintain effective systems to ensure that program routines, structure, schedules, activities, and expectations are clearly established and consistently implemented. Regularly assess implementation and support managers and teams in identifying barriers and developing effective solutions. Constructively challenge and inspire residential teams to think creatively and intentionally about programming. Ensure activities are meaningful, engaging, developmentally appropriate, and consistent with CARE principles, recognizing that every interaction and activity—including daily routines and responsibilities—provides an opportunity for growth, skill building, relationship development, and positive engagement. Teach, coach, and support staff to serve as positive role models who are actively engaged with youth and families. Promote a culture in which staff understand the purpose behind their work and bring energy, creativity, consistency, and genuine care to the residential milieu. Develop creative and meaningful opportunities to strengthen family, kinship, and caregiver involvement in residential programming. Promote and support family connections by welcoming parents, relatives, and caregivers; facilitating planned contacts and visits; and supporting connections in the program, community, and family or caregiver home whenever appropriate. Provide leadership and oversight during youth crisis situations and ensure appropriate, timely, and effective interventions are implemented in accordance with individual plans, agency policy, CARE, TCI, and regulatory requirements. Provide oversight of residential staffing and scheduling to ensure programs are appropriately staffed and that operational needs, supervision requirements, and continuity of care are maintained. Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant completion and submission of required operational and administrative responsibilities, including food and supply orders, National School Lunch Program compliance documentation, petty cash submissions, attendance and other PQI reporting, program budget and expense reports, and other required documentation. Facilitate and oversee required annual non-certification trainings and ensure residential staff meet all mandatory training and professional development requirements. Ensure the consistent implementation and documentation of required safety procedures and measures, including evacuation drills, lockdown drills, emergency preparedness activities, and the appropriate use, maintenance, and accountability of radio and other communication devices. Participate actively in leadership meetings, staff meetings, treatment team meetings, consultations, management meetings, required trainings, and other agency activities as scheduled. Collaborate effectively with clinical, educational, medical, case management, administrative, and other interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, coordinated, and individualized care for youth and families. Monitor program performance and identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement. Develop and implement strategies to strengthen program operations, staff performance, safety, treatment delivery, youth engagement, and family involvement. Foster a culture of accountability, respect, caring, safety, teamwork, and continuous learning across all residential programs. Maintain a safe, nurturing, caring, and supportive atmosphere in which youth can build relationships, develop skills, rebuild trust, and thrive. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisory or administrative leadership.

Brandon is seeking a highly qualified individual with extensive and demonstrated leadership experience in residential treatment, child welfare, behavioral health, or a related human services field . The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead and develop teams, manage complex residential operations, navigate regulatory and licensing requirements, respond effectively to crises, and work collaboratively across interdisciplinary systems.

Pay:
$100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
