Exempt Summary:
The Residential Manager is responsible for the safe operation of their assigned Residential Program. This responsibility involves coordination of care and supporting all individuals living in the homes with an emphasis on self-determination and community involvement. The Residential Manager is responsible for the overall program operation of their assigned program(s) and acts as the MAP Supervisor.
Essential Job Functions:
Hiring, supervising, training, and scheduling of residential support workers Weekly payroll submission monitoring for employees supervised Assisting employees with electronic payroll timesheets and troubleshooting Training and onboarding new hires to make sure they understand their roles Attend and document medical or dental appointments for individuals supported Document implementation of medical recommendations for individuals supported Work with management team on Program Quality Assurance initiatives Create ISP documentation (including assessments and support strategies with ISP coordinator) Implement support strategies to assist all individuals served in achieving ISP goals Collect documentation on ISP progress and complete progress summaries Assist in development and implementation of positive behavioral support plans (PBS) Monitor and collect documentation on PBS plans, medication treatment plans, and special protocols Complete monthly supervision, annual performance evaluations, and disciplinary documentation for residential support workers Ensure that the human, civil and legal rights of all individuals are protected. Follow DPPC and mandated reporting guidelines. Teach and promote dignity, respect, making informed decisions and reasonable risk with individuals Train individuals served in their human rights and ensure that those human rights are always observed Act as liaison to Social Security/MA Health/Insurances Maintain the safety and security of the home. Implement emergency plan procedures to maintain safety and supports for individuals served when necessary Manage emergency situations and document incidents Ensure compliance with DDS regulations in the home Work with DDS, families, guardians and other service providers to provide quality care Provide hands-on assistance to individuals in required areas of daily living (ADL's and IADL's) Oversee the administration of medication in the home according to MAP guidelines Provide a clean and safe home environment Provide on-call coverage for shifts as needed Assist all individuals served in accessing community resources Meet regularly with Residential Nurse Treat all individuals and their families with dignity and respect

Proof of Education:
GED or High School diploma required; College Degree preferred Valid MA Driving License Ability to record data using a computer, enter time worked into an electronic system and receive and send email required. Ability to speak and write English clearly and accurately in order to keep documentation up to date and understandable. Legally authorized to work in the United States Commitment to providing support/advocacy to individuals who are challenged by a disability Knowledge of community resources Ability to assess the skills and needs of individuals served Ability to understand and present reports on supports provided Understanding of the DDS system and its documentation requirements including but not limited to ISP preparation, incident reporting and daily record keeping Understanding of augmentative communication, adaptive equipment, and supportive devices Ability to assist in development and implementation of PBS Plans Ability to develop and implement training and curriculum for residential support workers Supervisory skills Conflict resolution skills Ability to mediate conflict between staff Experience working with individuals who have developmental challenges
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Ability to provide direct care in activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting and continence, transferring and mobility) Ability to lift 30 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds Ability to reach, bend, stand, sit and walk; perform fine motor activities.
Work Location Flexibility:
All Residential Managers are expected to be able to work at any residential sites. Employees may be temporarily or permanently assigned, transferred, or reassigned to a different residential location based on operational, staffing, or programmatic needs.
Professional Development/Training Offered:
Certification in CPR/First Aid Certification in MAP Minimum of 20 hours of training (both live and online) annually as assigned by supervisor
