General Description :
The Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) House Manager reports to and receives supervision from the Residential Coordinator and Director of Residential Services. The House Manager supervises and coordinates staffing, medical appointments, clinical needs and other supports needed in order to ensure essential services are provided to individuals in the residence. The House Manager will be an integral part in the opening of this home; They will assist with the Transition process prior to the home opening then oversee the home once at its full capacity.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree or Minimum of two (2) years equivalent work experience directly related to working with individual who have development/intellectual disabilities, and/or ABI and their families Knowledge of community systems serving adults with ABI/TBI Excellent interpersonal and communication (written/verbal) skills Experience in supervision preferred Current drivers' license, safe driving record, ability to pass extensive background checks MAP, CPR and First Aid certifications Experience using HCSIS preferred Experience in TA process preferred
Job Responsibilities :
Managing team performance; developing and implementing daily activities; facilitating communication among staff, individuals supported and their families/guardians; ensuring supported individuals participate in activities of their choice Supervise a team of direct support staff including conducting training, scheduling, discipline as needed and completion of performance reviews Ensure documentation and forms are complete, accurate and timely Participate in ISP meetings, team meetings and review team performance Attend meetings with supervisor and/or as directed by supervisor Serve in a rotating on-call system within the agency Serve as back up support staff when staff is unable to work a scheduled shift or if shift is unfilled Represent the agency's mission and vision in a positive and supportive manner within the community and with individuals/families supported Attend appropriate workshops, seminars and training Maintain a positive relationship with the individuals, families/guardians, other businesses and social service agencies Adhere to the Direct Support Professional Code of Ethics Other duties as required and/or assigned If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities, we invite you to apply today and join our dedicated team at The Arc of Bristol County!
