This pivotal role demands a candidate with a minimum of one year of specialized experience in tax credit or HUD leasing environments, coupled with a comprehensive grasp of compliance protocols governing affordable housing. The successful applicant will play a critical part in maintaining regulatory adherence and ensuring the integrity of resident certification processes across the organization's portfolio. Responsibilities Audit household certifications for all affordable housing units to guarantee alignment with current regulations. Generate and process income certifications and re-certifications specifically for Project-Based Section 8 and other federally assisted housing programs. Evaluate and authorize move-in certifications while executing quarterly audits of annual re-certifications for Project-Based Section 8 properties. Track and flag overdue re-certifications to maintain strict compliance timelines. Compile year-end building status reports for tax credit assets and finalize all mandatory electronic submissions. Verify the accurate application of income and rent ceilings, alongside utility allowance calculations. Offer strategic guidance and operational support to property management teams concerning compliance standards, reporting procedures, and resident certification workflows. #
Recruit Requirements Requirements:
& Qualifications Possess a minimum of three years of professional experience managing re-certifications and compliance matters for Section 8 and affordable multifamily housing properties. Demonstrate in-depth expertise regarding Section 8, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), and HUD regulatory frameworks. Exhibit superior written and oral communication abilities. Demonstrate advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Thrive in high-volume, fast-paced settings while effectively prioritizing multiple concurrent tasks. Experience with Property Management Software platforms such as Yardi or OneSite is highly desirable. Specific tenure requirements include at least one year of direct experience with LIHTC and one year with HUD regulations.
