A Residential Community Manager manages operations for an apartment community. Responsible for the maintenance and profitability of the apartment community. May provide information about the community to prospective residents, troubleshoot issues with the buildings and community residents. May also review and approve new lease applications, or be responsible for negotiating and closing sales.

Job Summary Support Solutions is seeking an experienced and dependable Residential Coordinator to oversee assigned residential programs serving individuals with developmental disabilities. The Residential Coordinator is responsible for the supervision, daily operation, regulatory compliance, and overall quality of assigned residential homes. This position provides leadership and guidance to program staff while ensuring that each individual receives respectful, person-centered support consistent with Support Solutions' mission, values, and standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential services, direct support, or home and community-based care and will be comfortable supervising employees, coordinating program operations, responding to urgent staffing needs, and working collaboratively with families, guardians, case managers, and community partners. Supervisory Responsibilities The Residential Coordinator directly supervises employees working within assigned residential programs.
Responsibilities include:
Participating in the hiring, training, scheduling, and direction of program staff Conducting performance evaluations and providing ongoing coaching and feedback Addressing employee concerns and administering corrective or disciplinary action when necessary Ensuring staff schedules are accurate, updated, and appropriate for program needs Promoting a positive, professional, respectful, and supportive work environment Ensuring full shift coverage and adjusting staffing when needed Essential Duties and Responsibilites Residential Program Operations Oversee the effective day-to-day operation of assigned residential homes
Person-Centered Services:
Ensure employees follow each individual's Person-Centered Plan and Individual Support Plan Support the development and implementation of individualized program components Promote meaningful community inclusion based on each individual's strengths, needs, interests, and preferences Attend pre-placement, post-placement, quarterly, semiannual, special, and Individual Support Team meetings Provide Person-Centered Plan and Individual Support Plan orientation and training to new and current employees when requested
Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, MaineCare waiver requirements, Home and Community-Based Services standards, licensing requirements, and behavioral regulations Conduct scheduled and unscheduled visits to assigned homes at least monthly Submit written home-visit reports to the Director of Care Management within 24 hours Assist residential programs with developing Plans of Correction and resolving identified deficiencies promptly Maintain current knowledge of regulatory guidance, state interpretations, licensing requirements, and emerging industry trends Communicate regulatory changes and potential program impacts to the appropriate supervisor Attend Review Team meetings concerning safety plans and
Behavior Management Plans Communication and Collaboration:
Maintain professional and effective communication with employees, individuals served, guardians, case managers, families, community providers, and partner agencies Collaborate with state departments and outside organizations to support high-quality service delivery Participate in meetings, trainings, seminars, support groups, and PCP Forums relevant to program needs Contribute positively to a culture of teamwork, inclusion, respect, and shared success Identify, pursue, and follow up on residential-service referrals in collaboration with agency leadership Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or HiSET Bachelor's degree or one to two years of related experience working as a Direct Support Professional, in residential services, or in a comparable role; an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training may be considered Experience in home and community-based care or supporting individuals with developmental disabilities Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance Authorization to work in the United States Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate professionally with individuals served, employees, families, guardians, case managers, and community partners Ability to supervise employees, manage competing priorities, and respond appropriately to urgent program needs
Schedule and On-Call Requirements:
This is a full-time, exempt salaried position with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM . The Residential Coordinator must also be available for: After-hours weekday on-call coverage from 4:00 PM-8:00 AM, Monday through Friday , as needed for urgent program or staffing matters Participation in the rotating weekend on-call schedule approximately once every three to four weeks Occasional schedule adjustments when necessary to meet individual, staffing, or program needs Applicants should carefully consider the required on-call responsibilities before applying.
