Overview Join our dynamic property management team as an Assistant Property Manager, where your energy and organizational skills will drive exceptional resident experiences and streamline property operations. In this vital role, you will support the Property Manager in overseeing day-to-day property functions, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and fostering positive relationships with tenants and vendors. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to the smooth operation of our residential communities, creating welcoming environments that residents are proud to call home. Responsibilities Assist in managing lease or rental agreement processes, including renewals, move-ins, and move-outs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable laws. Support property maintenance coordination by liaising with vendors, tracking work orders, and ensuring timely resolution of issues. Utilize property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite to input data, generate reports, and maintain accurate records of tenant information, payments, and service requests. Help enforce Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 program guidelines to promote equitable access and prevent discrimination. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to tenant inquiries via phone or email, resolving conflicts effectively through conflict management techniques. Assist in budgeting activities by tracking expenses, processing invoices, and supporting financial reporting efforts. Maintain organized filing systems for legal documents, contracts, lease agreements, and property records while ensuring confidentiality. Support team management efforts by coordinating schedules, assisting with onboarding new staff members, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Requirements Proven experience with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite; familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus. Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and Office experience related to property administration. Demonstrated ability in legal administrative tasks including contracts management and lease processing. Excellent customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette and client communication abilities. Experience in real estate administrative functions such as data entry, filing, and client relationship management. Ability to handle conflict resolution effectively while maintaining positive relationships with tenants and vendors. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Team management experience is desirable; a proactive attitude toward upselling amenities or services can enhance resident satisfaction.
