Your Role:

The Assistant Residential Manager serves as the lead direct care professional within the residential program, providing leadership, guidance, and support to Direct Care Staff while helping ensure a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for persons served. This role works alongside staff to promote quality care, regulatory compliance, and effective daily operations while serving as a liaison between residential staff and management. The Assistant Residential Manager plays a key role in supporting person-centered care, staff development, operational consistency, and positive resident outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Serve as the lead staff member during assigned shifts, providing direction, oversight, and support to Direct Care Staff Train, coach, and mentor residential employees while reinforcing agency policies, procedures, and care standards Monitor staff performance, service delivery, and documentation, providing real-time feedback and reporting concerns to management Support person-centered care by assisting residents with daily living activities, skill development, and community engagement Monitor resident health, safety, and well-being, responding to behavioral, medical, environmental, and crisis situations Oversee medication administration processes, including inspections, documentation review, inventory monitoring, and compliance checks Conduct routine audits of resident records, binders, and electronic systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance Coordinate household operations including meal planning, activity scheduling, inventory management, and supply oversight Perform routine environmental checks of rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance needs are addressed Participate in on-call rotation and maintain timely, professional communication with staff, management, families, and external providers

Requirements :

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Valid Michigan driver's license and insurable driving record CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with traumatic brain injuries, developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or related populations preferred Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities and work independently while supporting a team environment Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and basic computer applications

Physical Requirements :
