Job Description
Property Manager - Residential Apartments Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 40 Hours per Week We are seeking a dependable, organized, and professional Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a residential apartment community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with leasing, assistant property management, customer service, or residential housing experience who is ready to take the next step in their career. The Property Manager will work with administrative support and company management to maintain the property, provide excellent resident service, oversee leasing activities, and ensure that daily operations run smoothly. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of the apartment community Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for residents Market and lease vacant apartments Respond to prospective residents and conduct apartment showings Process applications and assist with resident move-ins and move-outs Prepare leases, renewals, notices, and other resident documentation Communicate with residents regarding lease requirements, property policies, and other concerns Monitor delinquent accounts and assist with rent collection Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up to ensure completion Communicate and coordinate with maintenance personnel and outside vendors Conduct property and unit inspections as needed Monitor the overall appearance and condition of the property Address resident concerns professionally and consistently Maintain accurate resident and property records Assist management with notices, documentation, and other property-related matters Help maintain occupancy by promptly following up with prospective residents and available units Perform other duties related to the operation of the property as needed Qualifications Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally Strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independently Basic computer skills and ability to learn property-management software Professional telephone, email, and in-person communication skills Dependable, punctual, and responsible Previous experience in property management, leasing, housing, customer service, or a related field preferred Buildium experience preferred but not required Previous Assistant Property Manager or Leasing experience is a plus Schedule & Compensation Monday through Friday 40 hours per week This position does not currently include employer-sponsored health insurance or other employee benefits.
