Overview Join our dedicated law enforcement team as a Patrol Officer and become a vital part of maintaining safety, security, and order within our community. In this dynamic role, you will patrol designated areas to prevent and respond to incidents, enforce laws and regulations, and assist the public with professionalism and integrity. Your proactive approach will help foster a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to serve with purpose while developing your skills in law enforcement operations. Duties Conduct routine patrols on foot, by vehicle, or using surveillance technology to monitor assigned areas for suspicious activity or safety hazards Respond promptly to emergency calls, incidents, and public inquiries with confidence and clarity Enforce traffic laws, local ordinances, and criminal statutes through citations, warnings, or arrests as appropriate Investigate crimes by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses and suspects, and documenting findings through detailed report writing Execute arrest procedures in accordance with legal protocols while ensuring safety for all parties involved Apply first aid and CPR when necessary to provide immediate assistance during medical emergencies Manage conflict situations using conflict management techniques and use of force training to de-escalate tensions effectively Skills Strong knowledge of law enforcement practices including criminal law, procedural law, search and seizure law, evidence law, and criminal investigation techniques Proficiency in operating standard passenger cars safely and confidently in various conditions Experience with firearms handling specific to law enforcement standards along with use of force protocols Ability to perform surveillance activities effectively using various tools and technology Excellent report writing skills to accurately document incidents, investigations, and actions taken Physical conditioning necessary for sustained patrol duties and emergency response scenarios Familiarity with animal handling, animal care, immigration law, loss prevention strategies, and local ordinances enhances versatility in the role Leadership qualities that support teamwork, decision-making under pressure, and community engagement Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication directly impacts community safety. $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
