Men's and Women's Residential Substance Use Disorder Programs Position Summary The Residential Program Manager provides leadership and oversight for Hope House, MVA Behavioral Health Services' men's and women's residential programs. This position supervises residential staff, coordinates referrals and admissions, monitors authorizations and clinical reporting, supports regulatory compliance, and develops strong relationships with referral sources and community partners. The Residential Program Manager ensures both programs provide safe, effective, client-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-focused services consistent with MVA policies, payer requirements, licensing regulations, and accreditation standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of MVA's men's and women's residential programs. Supervise residential therapists, peer recovery coaches, resident aides, and other assigned staff. Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, evaluating, and coaching residential employees. Coordinate staff schedules and assist with urgent coverage needs. Facilitate staff meetings and promote communication, teamwork, accountability, and professional development. Coordinate referrals, screenings, admissions, transfers, and discharges. Communicate with prospective clients, families, courts, hospitals, community mental health agencies, and other referral sources. Monitor bed availability, pending referrals, admission timelines, and program census. Oversee initial authorizations, reauthorizations, continued-stay requests, and utilization-review deadlines. Ensure assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, clinical reviews, discharge summaries, and other required records are complete and timely. Review documentation for accuracy, medical necessity, and compliance with payer and program requirements. Prepare or oversee clinical, operational, and outcome reports required by leadership, payers, funders, licensing bodies, and accrediting organizations. Maintain relationships with existing referral sources and develop new referral partnerships. Represent MVA at community meetings, outreach events, presentations, and networking opportunities. Monitor program quality, client safety, staff performance, incidents, grievances, and corrective actions. Ensure compliance with
HIPAA, 42 CFR
Part 2, recipient-rights requirements, MVA policies, and applicable licensing and accreditation standards. Collaborate with clinical leadership and other MVA programs to support continuity of care and successful discharge planning. Participate in leadership meetings, quality-improvement activities, audits, licensing reviews, and accreditation surveys. Perform other duties necessary to support safe and effective residential operations. Required Qualifications Current Michigan license as an LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, or LLPC.. Experience providing substance use disorder or mental health services. Previous supervisory, leadership, or program-management experience. Knowledge of clinical documentation, treatment planning, medical necessity, and confidentiality requirements. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple programs, staff needs, referrals, and deadlines. Ability to build professional relationships with clients, employees, referral sources, and community partners. Proficiency with electronic health records and common office technology. Valid driver's license, active automobile insurance, and reliable transportation. Ability to pass required background checks and drug screenings. Preferred Qualifications CADC, CAADC, or an approved substance use disorder credential development plan. Experience with ASAM criteria and residential substance use disorder treatment. Experience with Medicaid, PIHP authorizations, utilization review, and clinical reporting. Knowledge of CARF standards, Michigan behavioral health regulations, recipient rights, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2. Experience developing referral relationships and conducting community outreach. Experience treating individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Schedule This is a full-time leadership position requiring flexibility based on program needs. Some evening, weekend, holiday, or on-call availability may be required.

Must be able to move to various locations throughout the day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25% of ideal body weight.
