The City of Corcoran is a rapidly growing community in western Hennepin County that was named one of the safest cities in Minnesota. The community is seeking a Part-Time Community Service Officer to join the team. This is a part-time position that will consistently be scheduled around 20 hours per week, and not to consistently exceed 30 hours per week. This is an ideal position for somebody that is looking to build toward a career as a Police Officer. The Community Service Officer provides assistance to the Police Department under the general direction of department leadership, within the limitations set forth by state statutes, city ordinances, department policies, and regulations. A variety of assignments may include non-criminal incidents, investigating animal complaints, enforcing parking ordinances, directing traffic, and providing general assistance to residents of the community.
