Handle bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, and financial recordkeeping using accounting software such as QuickBooks or other relevant financial tools. Coordinate project schedules, meetings, and events related to residential building projects to ensure deadlines are met. Maintain excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams via phone, email, and in person. Support human resources functions including onboarding new employees, managing employee records, and ensuring compliance with employment policies. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) to prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentations that support project management and office operations. Manage office supplies inventory and ensure the office environment remains organized and professional at all times. Skills Proven experience in office management within a construction or residential building environment. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a small team effectively. Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software for bookkeeping and payroll processing. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules simultaneously. Experience with vendor management, contract negotiations, and maintaining professional relationships. Knowledge of human resources practices including onboarding, training & development, and employee relations. Skilled in handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—to facilitate clear client interactions and team collaboration. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with spreadsheets for budgeting and financial analysis is essential. Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Experience in event planning or coordinating meetings is a plus but not required.
