This position assists with reviewing eligibility documentation, maintaining accurate records, tracking deadlines, preparing reports, and supporting audits and regulatory reviews. The role may support programs such as Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), renewable energy tax credits, research and development tax credits, employment tax credits, or other federal, state, or local incentive programs. Key Responsibilities Assist with the administration and monitoring of applicable tax credit programs. Maintain organized electronic and physical compliance files. Track reporting deadlines, certification dates, recertifications, submissions, and required follow-up actions. Enter and update compliance information in internal databases, spreadsheets, and property or tax-credit management systems. Prepare compliance reports, status summaries, checklists, and tracking logs. Assist with monitoring income, household, employment, project, expense, or other eligibility requirements, as applicable to the tax credit program. Identify missing, inconsistent, or incomplete documentation and communicate follow-up requirements. Support the preparation for internal reviews, investor reviews, agency inspections, tax-credit audits, and regulatory examinations. Maintain records of findings, notices, deficiencies, corrective actions, and resolution dates. Assist with resolving compliance issues and escalating material concerns to the Compliance Manager. Review changes in tenant, project, employee, expense, or ownership information when relevant to the applicable credit program. Help ensure that required forms, notices, certifications, and supporting documentation are completed accurately and on time. Coordinate with property managers, accounting staff, tax professionals, applicants, residents, vendors, investors, or government agencies as appropriate. Maintain confidentiality of personal, financial, tax, and proprietary information. Assist with updating procedures, forms, compliance checklists, and training materials. Perform other administrative and compliance-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, property management, or a related field is preferred. Previous administrative compliance, tax, housing, finance, or document-review experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify missing or inconsistent information. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle confidential financial and personal information. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain accurate records. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience with tax credit compliance, affordable housing, LIHTC, or government-subsidized programs. Familiarity with tax forms, eligibility certifications, income calculations, or regulatory reporting. Experience supporting audits, inspections, file reviews, or compliance monitoring. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local, or agency requirements. Experience using compliance, property management, accounting, or document-management software. Relevant certification or training in tax credit compliance, affordable housing compliance, accounting, or regulatory administration.
