Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our property management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations and experience in real estate administration. This role involves interacting with tenants, managing property-related tasks, and ensuring compliance with housing laws, making it essential for candidates to possess excellent customer service and communication skills. Responsibilities Assist the Property Manager in overseeing the daily operations of residential or commercial properties. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws. Manage tenant relations by addressing inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests promptly and professionally. Coordinate leasing activities, including showing properties to prospective tenants and processing applications. Maintain accurate records using property management software such as Yardi or CMMS. Support rent collection efforts and assist in financial reporting as needed. Negotiate lease agreements and renewals while ensuring adherence to company policies. Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure timely resolution of property issues. Implement customer relationship management strategies to enhance tenant satisfaction. Requirements Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and real estate administrative processes is essential. Experience with Section 8 housing programs is a plus. Proficiency in property management software, particularly Yardi or similar systems. Strong sales skills to effectively market properties and negotiate leases. Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills for effective tenant interactions. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. A background in law or legal aspects related to property management is advantageous but not required.
