Qualified Professional (IDD Services) Jacksonville, NC | Full-Time | $38,000 - $49,000/year Make a Difference. Lead with Compassion. We're seeking a Qualified Professional (QP) to join our fast-growing agency and ensure individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) receive the highest quality of care and support . Position Overview Are you a dedicated professional with a passion for supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in a fast growing agency ? We are seeking a Full-Time Qualified Professional (QP) to oversee and supervise services that make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve. In this role, you will supervise services provided to individuals receiving Day Program, Community Services, In-Home Services, and Residential Services . Your leadership will ensure quality, person-centered care and full compliance with all service plans, documentation guidelines, and regulatory requirements. What You'll Do Supervise, mentor, and support direct care staff working with individuals with IDD Ensure high-quality services by overseeing care plans, documentation, and compliance standards Partner with families, guardians, and community professionals to advocate for individual needs Conduct regular observations in homes, workplaces, community settings, and residential environments Assist in developing Individual Support Plans (ISP) that focus on strengths, goals, and independence Help families identify and select the best support staff for their loved ones
What We're Looking For Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Services (required)
Experience:
Minimum 2 years working directly with individuals with IDD (required)
Leadership:
Supervisory experience (required)
Transportation:
Valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and auto insurance (required)
Professionalism:
Strong writing, documentation, and organizational skills

Additionally, share any minor(s), concentration areas, or specialized coursework you completed that you feel are relevant to this position. Do you have a vehicle for use at work? Please describe your experience in a supervisory role, particularly as it relates to overseeing Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). Include details about your responsibilities, the number of staff you supervised, and how you supported their performance and development. How confident are you in your ability to write Individual Support Plans (ISPs)? Please include any experience you have with developing person-centered goals, documenting outcomes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position may require physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, or pulling. Are you able to safely lift and carry up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally, without assistance? Are you comfortable assisting individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) after receiving training? These tasks may include but are not limited to: Personal Care, Mobility Support, Meal Preparation & Feeding, Toileting & Continence Care, and/or Household Tasks. Would you be comfortable performing these essential duties as part of your role? Are you currently credentialed as a Qualified Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Professional (QIDDP or QP) under North Carolina state regulations? If so, please include details such as your qualifying degree, relevant experience, and the date you were credentialed.
