A Property Manager manages operations for an apartment building or complex. Recruits and screens tenants for apartments, collects rents and security deposits, responds to requests or complaints from tenants, supervises maintenance and repairs; oversees payment of bills, insurance, taxes and recordkeeping. Manages property and services on behalf of a community association, for properties such as condominiums or cooperatives. Collects fees or dues, responds to requests or complaints, supervises maintenance, oversees work done by contractors, and provides accounting of income and expenses. May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Experienced Community Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a large conventional apartment community with almost 400 units! We invite you to apply if you are a results-focused Community Manager ready to drive the day-to-day operations of a property with ongoing interior renovations in Winston-Salem. The ideal candidate will bring a well organized, strong customer service mindset, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving turns, work order, leasing success and occupancy, optimizing performance, and a passion for resident satisfaction. Bilingual is a plus!
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of property operations Serve as a warm and polished point of contact for prospective and current residents, supplier partners, team members and owners. Lead and manage the on-site team, ensuring alignment with company standards and resident expectations Implement leasing, marketing, and resident retention strategies Ensure the community is compliant with all regulatory and safety requirements Engage the entire team to provide an unforgettable leasing experience—from initial inquiry to move-in to having a well-managed place to call home. Maintain high levels of curb appeal and operational efficiency Collaborate with maintenance team to ensure timely work order completion and make ready turn work Assist in preparing and manage property budget, expenses, and financial reporting Foster a welcoming, service-driven atmosphere for all residents Provide five-star service that elevates the satisfaction and reviews if our community. Develop lasting business relationships and a strong sense of community. Collaborate with the entire community team to meet leasing goals, maintain the property and achieve high occupancy.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in conventional multifamily property management Experience with conventional multifamily, preferably experience in B-C locations and interior renovations Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proven ability to deliver top-tier resident service and manage team dynamics Financial acumen and operational oversight experience CAM or ARM certification is a plus
